Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, July 04, 2018

Javier Baldovinos

Hello everyone, welcome to Wednesday’s Surf Report from Santana beach, Tola, Nicaragua. Waves are pumping and the crowd is thin… what else can you ask for?

Javier Baldovinos

Well, Brian is probably not asking for anything else, besides maybe to keep catching more awesome waves.

Javier Baldovinos

And more awesome barrels of course!

Javier Baldovinos

The waves were so good that even Tony from The Surf Sanctuary came out today. Welcome back to the report buddy!

Javier Baldovinos

And here is Wyatt, also from The Surf Sanctuary, following Tony’s steps.

Javier Baldovinos

First peak was on fire today, wave after wave non-stop.

Javier Baldovinos

Such a beautiful wave but, it takes a lot of practice to learn the tricks and bumps of it.

Javier Baldovinos

I guess I was not the only one taking photos of first peak today.

Javier Baldovinos

Rayito definitely has put a lot of time and effort to figure this wave out, he is constantly under the lip here.

Javier Baldovinos

Here is Ben Smith learning the waves’ tricks on a small one.

Javier Baldovinos

Somebody is about to get worked there, it’s just part of the Santana experience.

Javier Baldovinos

After a good surf session, it was time to get ready for today’s event: US Independence Day… after all, there is a big gringo community here, right?

Javier Baldovinos

Some people might say that there is not time for celebrations while Nicaragua is going thru such a hard time but, dates like these, where people celebrates freedom with family and close friends…

Javier Baldovinos

… these dates bring shakas, joy and love among everyone, it’s important to celebrate them no matter how hard life is.

Javier Baldovinos

We need to teach the little ones to enjoy life at all times, to find the bright side and to always laugh and love no matter what.

Javier Baldovinos

Thanks Surf Sanctuary for putting this together, the food was delicious and the company amazing. Cheers everyone!
