Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, December 09, 2019

Javier Baldovinos

Hello everyone, this is Baldo with today's surf report from Panga Drops. It's windy and the waves are small so Panga it is!

Javier Baldovinos

I went to Colorado first but there was nobody out, only this family enjoying the sun and the sand.

Javier Baldovinos

Even though there were some waves, it was weird that nobody was surfing, look at this left!

Javier Baldovinos

Panga Drops was really fun if you could handle the wind but with no crowd the wind was secondary.

Javier Baldovinos

The tricky part of Panga is the different sections that usually break in front of you, but you just have to hit on the gas and hold your line.

Javier Baldovinos

Here is a good example of these sections and how to pass them... first you have to pick a high line right before.

And then change to a lower line to gain speed and go around the section on a big-round bottom turn.

Javier Baldovinos

You usually come out of the bottom turn with a lot of speed which is great to throw a big spray with a big cutback.

Javier Baldovinos

And with the speed plus the strong offshore, that spray looks huge! Of course, you need to put a lot of pressure on those rails!

Javier Baldovinos

After a couple of those big sprays that can be seen from afar, people started showing up to get a piece of the big PD pie.

Javier Baldovinos

Which of course, brought more sprays to the break.

I hope you enjoyed today's report, short but always good! Have a great week!
