Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, September 19, 2017

Brian Scott

Happy Tuesday everyone. We have some small light onshore waves today, but there were still a few out enjoying the quiet tranquilo side this place was all about today. Espeially as we gradually make our way into our slow(er) season here.

Brian Scott

Imane was the first person I spotted taking off on a wave right when I got to the playa.

Brian Scott

Fun little waves out there actually. Not too bad for onshore and small.

Brian Scott

This wasn’t such a bad idea either, considering it was high tide and, well… it just looks super fun! Grab a hand plane and do some body whomping in the shore-pound!

Brian Scott

There were a few gremmies out there ripping as well.

Brian Scott

and some BIG gremmies too! Mike’s stoked on waves, although I’m sure he’d like it to be about head high and draining barrels, but any kind will do.

Brian Scott

I made my way on over to another location to mix up the angle situation and I spotted a crew of, what I thought might be some more surfing persona for me to shoot, but they looked like they might have other plans than surfing today?

Brian Scott

Yup, and not a bad decision either. It’s Toña time!

Brian Scott

Or you could try this. Sounds a bit refreshing on a rather warm, muggy day.

Brian Scott

Back to the real bicep and leg burning action. This guy looked like he was having a pretty good time with them little waves out there.

Brian Scott

I ran into my friend Megan and I was so happy to hear that she found the fins that went missing this past weekend. Turns out they were mysteriously gone after someone used them, but never returned. The thing is these are everybody’s to use here, BUT keep in mind, the sole purpose is to have here for any and all ocean safety precautions. Megan and a few others have worked tremendously hard to get us a lot of rescue gear, including paddle boards, rescue floating devices, so if you’re going to use it, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember to put it back. As this could be the determining factor in saving someone life out there. (**This has been a public service announcement by SBS - Thank you for all of your cooperation).

Brian Scott

This guy might have surfed too long and is now trying to eat his hat! Jam over to Pili’s, grab a proper smoothy and get some paddle fuel amigo!

Brian Scott

How about this triple lip looking wave this little dudes bout to smack section number 2 out of 3 on.

Brian Scott

Now that’s proper cutback on a 1 foot wave.

Brian Scott

I actually got a 2 for one on this shot. Two legendary dudes right there!

Brian Scott

I could feel the October vibe already coming… this is when the locals and regulars pretty much get this place all to themselves for a little while. Can you tell by our version of Kelly and Rob Machado’s classic high five antics here!? haha

Brian Scott

Dude, Maycol little buddy, you were ripping! Nice turn hermano.

Brian Scott

Thanks for popping by today. It wasn’t much to share, but sharing is still caring. I don’t want to jinx it, but looks like we might have some pretty good swell on tap for around the end of this month and into October on the long range forecast. You ever wanna score this place empty, this is the time to do it! Keep and eye on those swell charts and save this hot link here www.surfnsr.com/pages/contact-nsr to contact us and book that trip!!! Remember, slow season = less people and less prices! Stay tuned..! Hasta Pronto ~
