Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, July 14, 2010

We've got some fun waves and good wind today...and we'll get to that in a sec.  Before we do, I wanted to share something cool with you.  When Chewy came down to work with us this Summer, I asked him to document what he did each day, for 30 consecutive days.  The idea was to give you some insight on what it's like to be an NSR Intern in Nicaragua.  He finally got it up in blog form and now it's ready to share.  I think it's pretty cool.  Click on the pic above if you want to check it out.  (if you like music, be sure to listen to the "Nicaragua Song")

Hi and welcome to our daily surf report.  We are the NSR Family bringing you some of the action we had at the beach this afternoon.  The waves were kind of fun, running about waist to chest high on sets with nice offshore winds.  Check it out!!!

Right before we get ready to leave to the beach we saw this beautiful Iguana around the NSR Headquarters down in San Juan del Sur.  So we decided to catch it and snap a couple shots.  We do not what Pancho was thinking when he grabbed that thing!

The lineup was quite busy today but it was nice because everybody got to share some waves and respect each other.  Here we have Norwin and Nicolas sharing this one and having a blast.  Hey Chulin, are you using COLGATE dude?  Because your teeth looks kind of dirty from the beach!

We had a few local guys doing his thing on the beach this afternoon.  Here we have Luis “La Baloy” Chamorro destroying the lip of this little right hander.

When we arrived to the beach today, we found some people taking a break enjoying of this beautiful cloudy day.  Nice scene ,uh!

On this shot we have our very good friend Mariel, she was catching some good waves today.  Look at her riding on this nice and clean left hander, one of the better waves that she caught today.

Today we had some fun sets coming in at Machetes.  Here we have this guy, he was the only boy surfing at Machetes.  He looks super stoked with this cool bottom turn.

As we said before the waves were super fun, and we had very good conditions to learn how to surf.  On this shot we have this kid riding on this small but fun little nugget.  Good job Dario!

Sean “La Brujita Voladora” was flying all over the place today, please believe us when we say flying all over the place.  Here he is flying over Pancho Sanchez head.  Were you scared Panchito?

On the last shot of the day we have Dave with a cool off the top on this right.  The swell is supposed to pick up a little bit tomorrow so make sure to check us back out.
