Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, December 09, 2011

The waves picked up a little bit today and everyone out there was more than stoked.  Chest to shoulder high waves were rolling in, the winds were nice offshore and the water was chilly.  Check it out!!!

Countdown to Christmas is on!  We would like to ask your help in making this Christmas a super special one of the community of La Churequita in Rivas.  For the last 2 years, NSR has helped raise enough money to provide Christmas gifts and meals to over 300 people in 2 different communities in the southern region of Nicaragua.  If you would like help us bring Christmas to La Churequita, please email:   [email protected]   (we are asking that donations be sent via PayPal to [email protected] )

There were also some sweet lefts coming in right out front.  La Terepotita is caught here dropping into one of the many fun waves he scored.

A few international rippers were down the beach, taking advantage of the empty lineup we had.  Check out this one with a cool off the top on this little nugget.

Jose El Corage Hernandez was having a blast on his huge super panga.  Nobody rides on the nose better than him, here is the proof.

Not many locals were out this afternoon and that’s kinda weird.  Juan Tonito “De la Perra” Metida with a cool backside maneuver.

The waves were pretty fun down the beach, and this guy sat in the right spot to catch some nice ones.  Check him out styling on his bottom turn.

We had some nice looking sets rolling in by Machete Pt but nobody was out there.  What a shame, uh!!!

The last action shot for today’s report goes to this unknown pale rider with a cool floater.  We are heading up north tomorrow so please check back with us.
