Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, August 23, 2008

Hi folks, this is Lucha Libre bringing you the action of the Saturday surf report.  Today we headed out to Maderas with a couple locals that wanted to surf in the morning.  The swell dropped down a lot but there were still some waves to ride.  It was chest high on sets, with off shore wind and the water was warm.

Luis “La Baloy” Chamorro was one of the locals who paddle out today.  Here he is caught with a cool backside snap.

This is Ballardo “El Cholenco” from La Boquita bottom turning on one of the best set waves that came though.  By the way, this kid was surfing pretty well today.

“El Mope” Miranda was able to paddle out as well and was ripping it up.  This guy is one of the most powerful surfers in town.

Here we have Rodolfo “Calibilly” Zapata with the last shot of the day.  The waves should be about the same size tomorrow but still pretty fun.  Please check back tomorrow.
