Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, August 23, 2007

It's times like these when we take advantage of the other things Nicaragua has to offer. Onshore wind may mess up the surf, but it also brings up the FISH. The Surfari Charters crew went out this week and slayed the Mackerel and Wahoo. This is Capt. "I like catchin' Big Waves and Big Fish" Moss - showing off a nice Wahoo from the Va Pue.

When the day was done, there was plenty of fish for everyone (and then some!). Nice work you guys!

That's right Jimmy, everything taste a little better with some "NSR Sauce"! Thanks to Erin for the photos. Roberto will be up later with the surf report for today.

Today we got a couple of hours with offshore wind but then we got onshore wind again. We made it out early in the morning, so we scored some good ones. It's chest to shoulder high on sets and the wind is light offshore in the morning. Check out the lineup.

Here is Jamir "El Coki" Brox seconds away to get a small but sweet shack. He always gets barreled!!!

Everybody was happy because we had a couple hours with offshore wind. Here is young Rex with the show time.

Here are some unknown riders spliting the waves. You couldn't do this with onshore wind, it's so nice to have offshore.

How about Luis "La Baloy" Chamorro with a cool air in front of the rocks. Where have you been my friend?

Somebody was getting the attention from the people on the beach. That's Augusto "La Gaviota" Chamorro with a sweet snap in the background.

Calibilly Zapata with the last shot of the day, i hope we get offshore tomorrow too. Lucha is out!!!
