Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, May 28, 2017

Brian Scott

Hola and Happy Sunday Funday here in Nica-land!! Lets kick this week off properly with some seriously fun waves and nothing but a good family fun day at the playa, which is exactly why everyone comes here… our beautiful beaches!!!

Brian Scott

I’ve got to start off the show by showing you how much rain we got last night. It dumped and dumped and we had one of our incredible lightning and thunder shows which ended up blowing up one of our WiFi towers here; which is why my report ended up getting posted so late last night. (sorry about that… cough cough!)

Brian Scott

But the rain stopped and the morning came and so did the sun and all the people were ready to enjoy a great beach day!

Brian Scott

The conditions have been really good in the mornings lately (I think due to all the rainy and onshore/sideshore weather we’ve been getting in the PM) things have been cleaning up for perfection in the AM. Here’s Lesther reaping the rewards to those said conditions.

Brian Scott

Carlos was airing out from all the rain we had. Funny thing is, he never falls, so I think his fro is still dry tho?

Brian Scott

We’re getting all kinds of green around here, thanks to all the wetness. Couple more rains like last nights and we might have some river breakage; and you all know what that means!

Brian Scott

This is one of the spots where one of those river’s might have to flow. Looks like the sandbars are good now, imagine if they were even more pronounced.

Brian Scott

Amen to that, right?!

Brian Scott

Just another day here in Nica.

Brian Scott

These guys better hustle though.. would be good to get that roof on before we get a lot more rain, which is very possible.

Brian Scott

Speaking of roof tops. Can you guess who this is and always has guaranteed shelter over his head 90% of the time he surfs???

Brian Scott

Baaammm!!!! Yup that guy! @CarlosdeColorado ripper!

Brian Scott

Here’s a little unspoken-for barrel for your mind surfing Sunday micro barrel day dreaming experience.

Brian Scott

Always great to see the ultimate AMIGO, the Nicaraguan ROCK, my buddy Mr. Armando “Codo” Lopez out there smashing some waves. He’s so big he snowballed himself!! jajaja j/k buddy!

Brian Scott

Yeah buddy! Your smile is infectious as always Hermano!

Brian Scott

Another reason to add this place to your destinations to surf on your bucket list.

Brian Scott

This guys was getting waves all up and down the beach too! I think your red rashie helped out with that amigo!

Brian Scott

See, I wasn’t kidding. Sunday funday is the best way to start off your week.

Brian Scott

Raise your hand if you’re sure.!!

Brian Scott

Sometimes one of the hardest parts of my job is to pick the best shots to share with you each day. Days like this and most days are usually picture prefect. Like Ryley Haskell here, giving me the goods. Welcome back Hermano!

Brian Scott

Just remember to keep your head down, paddle hard and the rest is cake!

Brian Scott

Nicaraguan version of the “parking lot” surf check.

Brian Scott

Hope this got you excited for a great work week ahead!! Stay tuned for tomorrow’s report and hope to see you back for another round of fun waves here in Nica-land. Hasta pronto ~!
