Hey everyone, welcome to Thursday’s surf report! The waves today were pumping so I decided to go first to check out Popoyo at low tide and this is what I found...

There were just a few surfers at Popoyo at this time of the day, 2 guys surfing the right and 4 guys surfing the left.

This is Federico, visiting from Uruguay, one of the 2 guys surfing the rights here at Popoyo.

And this is the other guy surfing the rights, he was ripping those rights, throwing buckets on every turn.

This is X, yes, that’s how everybody calls him… he is from France and his name is weird, I mean, rare (he told me his name but can’t remember) so he introduces himself as X.

Popoyo at low tide is a nice place to come hang out, the beach is wide with plenty of room to sit and relax with a book… while your friend rubs it in your face that he has a girl in his hands and not just a book.

At around mid-tide I went to my local break, Santana beach to see how it was doing and, as I expected, it was really good!

First peak was showing off its colors, it was working like a machine… A-frame peaks almost on every wave.

Only 5 local kids were out there taking turns on those beauties.

Sadly, they were only on the shoulder because the take off right on the peak was difficult.

But not only First peak was working… the northern side was working really good too.

They didn’t want to fight for waves with the local kids at first peak so they decided to go in the middle of the beach, where it was empty.

I saw only one barrel during the time I stayed there. This kid was in heaven!

These are Federico and X that came to Santana to check it out while I was taking the photos, that's how I met them... They are loving it here, can you tell?
