Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, January 28, 2011

Another beautiful day down here in Nicaragua.  The swell dropped but there were still many fun waves rolling in at this spot.  It was running about chest to head high on sets, the winds were a little strong and the water was nice.  Check out the lineup!!!

When we first got to this spot, the only surfer out was Osiris.  He was ripping all over the place and taking advantage in the lineup since first light in the morning.  Here he is caught with a cool backside slash on this right.

The local kids made it out and right away they started they show.  This is Wesley “La Moronguita” picking up a nice left hander down the beach.

The sequence of the day goes to “La Bestia” Calderon, showing us why he won the last Central American surf champion ship at Playa Maderas.  Shot 1, getting ready to fly!

Shot 2, busting a sick frontside aerial!

Shot 3, spinning around his tail!

Shot 4, finding the best spot to land it!

Shot 5, is he going to make it?

Shot 6, yes he made it.  That was amazing, wasn’t it?

A few international friends paddled out and scored many fun ones as well.  Here is caught one of them riding a nice right in the background, and a few others just seconds away from fun walking on the beach.

Kenny Nakai left s the pots and the spoons in the kitchen and headed out to the beach to have fun.  Check him out dropping into a nice right hander.

The last action shot of the day goes to Gainer “El Tapita” Granados bottom turning a sweet wave.  Everybody was super stoked to score many fun ones this morning.

Alright folks, that’s all for today.  Please, check back tomorrow.
