Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, January 25, 2014

Hi there, Armando Lopez bring the Saturday report. Almost ending January and today we had some nice waves rolling, all morning, Everybody is using their wetsuit and the offshore wind keep blowing hard.

I say the offshore wind is blowing hard, check out this guy doing the bottom turn and pulling the emergency break because the wind make the drop a little difficult.

This was a playground today, everybody in this spot was searching the right, that had most consistent and broke a little bigger.

Here is Zack ripping this left, he and his good friend Tony Z are using Firewire surfboard, I think this is why they are so good surfers.  They were shredding on some of the better waves.

Look, here is Tony Z making a cut in the half of the wave looking the barrel.

I think in all the pacific coast is hard to find a good point break working without swell. But here we keep having some waves that give us the opportunity to continue in the water.  Actually the waves got more size today!

A group of friends are here enjoying of the weekend, the guys surf and girls take the sun. But what else can they ask for?

Esteban "El buchon del sur" was getting some nice rights waves, after a few months living in Nica he knows how is done.

To learn to get a backside barrel is not too easy and today this wave was breaking in slow motion so it was definitely possible. This guy had some time to be ready and at the end what do you think it happened?

Ok amigos, see you tomorrow in the Sunday report. I hope you have a great day with family and friends, and some good waves in your own town.

Just got a couple of cool pics sent in by Pancho Sanchez.  We got a nice surprise this morning, and we want to share it with you guys.  Take a look!

El Guru was at first peak and he scored lots of fun ones.  Check out this little sequence!
