Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, January 25, 2010

What’s up folks, this is Miguel bringing you all the action for this Monday surf report.  Today we went to the beach in the morning with the NSR team, to score some fun waves.  The waves were running about chest to shoulder high on sets with nice offshore winds and it was a nice sunny day.  Check out the lineup!!!

The lineup was not very crowded at all today, we had only about 7 or 9 surfers out.  Here we have Tim "the big, tall, volleyball player guy" dropping in on this small but fun left-hander.  Tim doesn't surf that often but it looked like he was really starting to get the hang of it by the end of the session today.  He's a tall dude so this is probably an overhead wave on most people.

On this shot we have our very own “Pancho Sanchez”.  He was ripping all over the place on his new board called " The pickle ".  "It's short, but it's not a shortboard", says Pancho, "but it is very FAST.  It's perfect for small, beachbreak conditions like today".  Check him out, bleeding some speed and laying down a nice cutback on this little left.

Here we have Heather “Hace Quesos”.  She was catching some waves today.  Look at her walking around the beach, after the long surf session.

There were some sweet wipe outs in the lineup today.  This is Adam “Super Cana”, late dropping and about to eat sand on this fine looking nugget.

On this shot we have for the second time “Pancho Sanchez”.  Here he is posing with " The Pickle " - 5'8" and green, green, green.  It seems the whole world is going shorter these days and Pancho is no exception.  At 200lbs, he might be pushing his limits on this one...seems to work for him though.

The waves were super fun today.  But for other guys it was difficult to catch some waves.  Check out this unknown surfer with sweet wipe out on this little wave.

On the last shot of the day we have this beautiful bird.  Alright folks that’s all for today.  We should still have some fun waves for most of this week, so check back tomorrow!
