Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, January 13, 2011

Hi folks, this is Lucha Libre Garcia with the Thursday surf report.  The surf was even smaller than yesterday this morning and the best option we had was to take the big boards out.  It was running about knee to waist high on sets with pretty strong offshore winds and the water was cold.  Check it out!

As we said before the best we could do, was to take the big pangas out and that was exactly what our good friend Oscar did.  He had super fun on that thing, riding small but clean waves all over the place.

A couple local kids made it out and they did their best to ride some waves.  This is what you can do, if you weight only 120 pounds.  Larry “Carita de Venado” with a cool backside maneuver.

Check out Dj Bujia missing one of the better waves of the day.  It seems like he is not used to the longboard, uh!!!

La Mosca was getting ready to kill it.  He weights 96 pounds, so the waves were perfect for him, but he couldn’t handle the cold water.

A few other dudes paddled out and try to ride some small ones.  The waves didn’t have so much power for big dudes on shortboards to generate enough speed.  At least this guy can say that he did get wet.

Bujia finally managed to score some fun ones on his big panga.  Hopefully the waves will pick up a little bit tomorrow so please stay tuned with us.
