Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, January 14, 2011

We headed out to the beach this morning, expecting to score some fun waves and we did.  It was running about waist to chest high on sets with pretty strong offshore winds and the water was cold.  Check it out!!!

The waves were perfect size to take the big boards out once again.  Oscar rented out one of our many sick rental boards we have available and he was crushing it on that thing.  Here he is caught with a solid ride all the way in to the beach.

The local kids jumped out again and they were having a blast.  This is Felipe “El Pipe” Chompipe with a small but nice slash on this peeler.

Since the waves have been small the last couple days, all the kids have been tearing it up.  This is Larry “Carita de Venado” busting a cool 180 backside maneuver.

Dj Bujia paddled out on the 6’4” firewire, another sick rental board of our quiver and he was able to pick up some nice ones.  Sometimes the board can help you to catch the waves better and faster.  Nice looking wave Bujia!!!

A few girls made it out on her own and tried to catch a couple.  Just remember that we have the best Surf School in town, if you really want to learn how to surf.

We had a beautiful and sunny day, so nice to take your family to the beach.  That’s a good daddy!

“El Tapa” Granados picked up some really nice waves as well.  Check him out getting some speed to attack the lip of this right.

The last shot of the day goes to “La Bestia” Calderon showing Gainer how is done.  The waves are supposed to pick up a little bit tomorrow so please stay tuned with us.
