Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Hi and welcome to our Tuesday surf report.  We are your favorite reporters bringing you all the action from one of the most popular spots down south of Nicaragua.  Today we went to the beach so excited to catch some good waves with the new long period swell.  As soon as we got there, this sick set came in and we knew that it was firing, by the way this is the first time we say FIRING on October.  It was well over head on sets with no winds.  Check it out!  We want to say happy birthday to Miguel, the new member of the NSR crew.

The wind was messing around, turning from offshore to onshore every once in a while but at the end of the day the wind died down and we had a pretty good surfing day.  This is Tyler riding a solid over head wave.

The lineup was not crowded at all, there were only about 8 guys taking plenty of fun waves all over the place and a few other beginners were doing their thing in the inside.  This is Ryan from Fl racing down the line of this beautiful left.

This is Caleb getting into a nice barrel on this sweet looking right.  We had lots of waves coming in today but it was really hard to catch them because we had lots of currents as well.

Now we have Jason high lining on this peeling left.  Sometimes it is not very safe to go that high but this time nothing bad happened!

As I said before we had quite a few beginners doing the best to catch some waves.  Here we have one of them getting back from the action.

La Panga made it out to the lineup and was ripping on his super big panga.  Here he is taking this left with great form.

We had some glassy waves coming in with no takers, like this one.  What a shame, uh!

There were not many locals out today, but “El Tuzo” Morales was able to paddle out and he represented the local crew in the water.  Check him out setting up to pull into this nice looking barrel section.

This is Jamil “El Coki” Brox going big with a cool backside turn on this nice sizeable wave.  We had some rain last nigh and it seems like we are going to have a little bit more tonight, god willing!

There is always a good wipe out when we have some decent waves.  We want to give a special shout out to our very good friend “La Prenda” Carcamo with the wipe out of the day.

Now we have Nick with the last surfing shot of the day.  Hey guys, make sure to check out NSR Surf Shots because we have more shots to look up on there.

Alright folks, that’s all for today.  Please check back tomorrow.
