Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, October 16, 2022

Brian Scott

Happy Sunday (well, partially) sunDay with the emphasis on lack of sun today. But there were some pretty fun waves with a whole of empty playing field out there for the taking!

Head high on the better set waves.

Search and destroy on everything else!

Low tide draining out quickly making the barrel window smaller and smaller. But this kid still got into the bank just in time! Cashing that check!

Big Chris making big carves on this pretty nice Sunday!

Even little Carlitos was out there picking off some nice little corners!

The “loc-tees” making their way out to some fun little end of the weekend waves.

These little micro groms, so tiny even then rolling inside 1 footers were just about waist high for them.

Looking up towards the reef, still quite a bit of debris floating around out there in the ocean. Always keep your eyes open and be safe when you're out there! You wouldn’t want to get impaled by that floating tree limb. And it was just that, just a part of the rest of the HUGE tree that was submerged. I saw a good amount of it come out of the water as a wave rolled over it and there is a lot of tree underneath that water there!

One things you can always count on here…. the stoke factor is always high, rain, shine or side shore winds which is what way the winds turned just as I was about to bounce on out! Have a good rest of your weekend and I will see you first thing mañana (hopefully if it ’s not raining). Cheers ~
