Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, October 16, 2018

Brian Scott

Howdy NSR diehard fans. Today we have had rain all day. Been going non-stop since last night. Although this is normal for this time of year, especially for October, it definitely makes for a lackluster surf report. So thanks in advance for bearing through these last few days of not the best surf. Stay tuned for some good news!!!

Brian Scott

There are waves, they’re just not as pretty as when we have them 80% of the rest of the year.

Brian Scott

On the flip side, this place is going to be that much more green, that much longer going into our dry (summer) months when these rains finally come to a halt.

Brian Scott

I was completely surprised to see someone out.

Brian Scott

Even getting a barrel, SUPER IMPRESSIVE!!!!

Brian Scott

So, remember I said something about some good news…

Brian Scott

Well here you have it guys and gals. The winds are about to change back around to offshore.

Brian Scott

And it’s looking to happen by this Friday… and it looks like it will stay offshore for a while!

Brian Scott

If you want a little added bonus to go with those much needed winds… check out the swell forecast as well.

Brian Scott

No, unfortunately this was not taken from today, BUT it was taken a few years back on a very similar day like we’ve been having around this same time of year. Betcha can’t wait to see this gracing the surf reports again soon!

Brian Scott

For those of you who ever wonder or just don’t want to cough up the dough for a SL subscrition to see more than just 3 days. Here’s what our long range forecast is looking like.

Brian Scott

Constant 5-6 foot range swell, then bumping into the 7+ foot range by the 27th (the end of this month).

Need some proof…. this is from last year October 21. Just two weeks after tropical storm Nate decimated this place.

Josh Springfield cashing in after paying his dues with A LOT of rain and patience!

Brian Scott
