Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, July 20, 2012

More of the same down here in Nicaragua at Playa Colorado for the sixth day of the ISA World Surfing Contest.  The waves are still kinda small, the winds keep blowing offshore and the water nice and warm.  Check it out!

This was the calendario we had today.  Everyone out there did his best to put up a good show.

It wasn't an easy day for all the competitors, surfing 2 - 3 foot waves.  As you saw the calendario we started the action with the Master repechage where Venezuelan Ronald Reyes put up a couple of nice waves to placed first in his heat.

I have no clue how this guys are able to rip on those small waves, they msut good surfers I guess.  Check out this man about to throw the lip off the back on his backside.

It is always nice to take some souvenirs back home with you.  Hawaiians did their shopping right on the beach.

This pal from Peru had some action early in the day as well, and he was so stoked to make it through.  Way to go hombre!

Sergio Noronha is the only Brazilian guy alive, running the grand master division.  He' s a sick ripper, as you can see.

Japan is one of the most solid teams and today they were fighting to stay in the top 3.  Here we caught one of their team mates with a cool little floater.

Rochelle was riding down the road to make it on time to her semi-final Aloha Cup heat.  We had Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Argentina and Panama in the first heat and Hawaii, Australia, Peru and Argentina in the second heat.

Argentinian team former going big with a cool floater.  At the end Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and Australia are going to fight for the gold tomorrow.  Stay tuned with us!
