Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, July 21, 2012

Mother Nature blessed us today, and send us over some sweet conditons for the first hours of competition today.  The seventh day gave us the highest scores of the contest, look forward and find out what we are talking about.  Head high plus on the bigger sets, nice offshore winds and cool water.  Check it out!

Right when I got the beach this was the first wave I saw at low tide, so I said ITISGONNABESICK with the incoming tide.  Check it out and find out if I was right!

Lots of sick waves were coming in up and down the beach.  Who wants some of this?

This was the calendario for today's action.  Master got the best window of the day so make sure to check it out and send the link to your friends!

Kaipo from Hawaii was in the first heat of the day, and he didn't dissapoint.  Check him out on his way out of one of the couple of barrels he had during his heat.

Today we had two of the biggest scores, so far.  Dean Randazzo from USA got a perfect 10 out of this sequence.  Dropping in and setting up!

Getting some shade!

Getting deep for a couple of seconds.  Nobody thought that he was still in there!

I heard people right behing me saying, HIS DONE.  But I just kept shooting!

Oh my god, there is not much that I can say.

You had to claim that one for sure Dean R!

Lucy was giving Team USA some support from the beach.  Way to go fellas!

The finals are bringing down quite a good crowd to the beach.  All people around should make it over here for tomorrow's final day of contest.

Right after Dean got the perfect 10, Mr Sunny Garcia pulled into another sick wave.  Taking the second better score of the contest 9.97, almost another 10.

Going through the first section!

Getting some more speed!

Still expecting to get the double shack!

Finding the second barrel section!

No idea where he went!

Still driving in and looking for the door!

This is why Team Hawaii brought him down for.  That was so sick, wasn't it?

Yeahhh Sonny, we hope to see more of this tomorrow so stay focused!

Meanwhile down the beach, the free surfers were getting some of the juice we had out there this morning.  Are you watching this Borrador?

We got into the repechaje rounds and Mr Shea Lopez did well to stay alive.  Cool frontside turn on a nice peeler.

The Grand Masters put up a nice show as well.  Brazilian Sergio M showing off his style with this off the top.

All the people on the beach was really surprised to see all those guys getting in and out of those waves so easy.  Everytime we had somebody getting pitted the whole crowd start going off.

As soon as the tide was high the ladies jumped out in the water and did their thing too.  Sonia La Pucha Garcia working hard in her repechaje round..

At the end of the day we had the final for the ALOHA CUP, where team Hawaii step up and took their first GOLD of the contest.  Felicidades chicos!

This was Lucha Libre Garcia and I am out.  Stay tuned for the finals!
