Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, June 25, 2023

Josh S

Welcome to the Sunday surf report from Playa Colorado. The waves were micro today, making for fun longboarding conditions.

Nicaragua’s Emerald Coast living up to its name! These waves would still be considered epic for many of you viewing from abroad haha. The surfers out today were showcasing their most laid back style.

While most surfers were cruising, Finley was up to his usual antics. Levitating and spinning around the lineup. I hope Carlitos was taking notes here from his front row seat!

Josh S

A little guy out bodyboarding near Carlitos lost his board. Luckily Kenneth had his eyes on the boys and rushed out to the rescue.

Josh S

I was glad Kenneth was there to swim out and rescue the little dude as I had my camera, phone, and no baggies on. Iguana beach patrol showcasing its value to visitors and community members alike today.

Josh S

Carlitos didn’t seem to be effected by the gravity of the situation and basically slid right past our victim and his brother haha. He was too fired up on the inside boogeyboard double-ups.

Josh S

Kenneth executed a quick and efficient rescue. All’s well, end’s well? I hope the Dad of these boys bought Kenneth a case of Tonas or showed him some love. I’d be pretty grateful if someone rescued me haha

Josh S

Mikey was the only surfer small enough to fit into today’s barrels. You had a monopoly on tube-space out there hermano!

Josh S

Colorados isn’t typically a longboarding wave, but the glassy faces made today’s conditions really playful for floatier gear. This long haired fella won the most stylish award today!

Josh S

Not only did he take the prize for style, but showcased some power on this backside blast! It just goes to show that longboards can still turn hard like shortboards. That’s all I’ve got for today everyone! I appreciate you following along. Kudos to Iguana Beach Patrol for being there when unexpectedly needed! That’s how rescue’s work… You don’t need a helping hand until you’re in a tricky spot. Tomorrow looks small as well, but I hope to offer up some quality surfing for your viewing pleasure.
