Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, June 25, 2018

Javier Baldovinos

Hello everyone, here at Colorado we are having a great Monday after a Sunday Funday at Santana.

Javier Baldovinos

But we had long, open lefts that kept everyone happy.

Javier Baldovinos

Today the conditions were kind of funky, the waves were smaller and got a little bit windy than yesterday.

Javier Baldovinos

The rights were hollower and fast so not that many people were going for them.

Javier Baldovinos

This guy was having a great time with the lefts until…

Javier Baldovinos

His leash broke and his board went all the way down to the beach.

Javier Baldovinos

The guy looked tired after having to paddle in fighting the current and the waves breaking on him.

Javier Baldovinos

Thankfully there is always someone at the beach willing to help and get the board out of the water.

Javier Baldovinos

He went to the club house and up and down the beach asking everyone to borrow another leash so he could keep surfing… he didn’t find one.

Javier Baldovinos

While the guy looked for a leash, the waves kept rolling and the surfers kept doing their thing… an aerial here and there.

Javier Baldovinos

Some of the in-between-sets waves were breaking really good to the right, but they were considerable smaller.

Javier Baldovinos

Or hitting the lip throwing buckets of water everywhere.

Javier Baldovinos

The tide was dropping really fast and the waves were starting to get better, steeper and hollower.

Javier Baldovinos

Just a few made it out of the barrel without a scratch, clean as a whistle.

Javier Baldovinos

Little by little surfers started finding some shade, most of the time getting clamped by the wave.

Javier Baldovinos

Looks like the waves will be smaller the next couple of days but they will come back for the weekend so, stay tune.

Javier Baldovinos

Have a great week everyone, see you soon!
