Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, June 21, 2021

Brian Scott

Welcome back for another great week of waves and swell! Today was pretty big and some places were almost maxing out and too big. I took a little browse around the neighborhood and found me a nice little place where I could get you double your pleasure today….. step on in and check it out!

Brian Scott

Hows that outside bomb?? Shoots how’s that paddle out, just seeing that outside bomb. And there were pliantly behind that one too!

Brian Scott

I perched myself up so that I could see two breaks at the same time. Here’s the beachie, which from the early morning on it was a bit out of control and looked like a lot of work. Even though this photo may say otherwise.

Brian Scott

Trust me when I say, the beach break was definitely the place to go if you wanted board breaking type surf and dodging and weaving super unpredictable sets.

Brian Scott

My man Derek, whom we both sorta worked it out by around midday to just pull the plug and opt for the reef. It’s pretty obvious it was MUCH MUCH cleaner, but it was definitely bigger than PC’s but the good part was D-man had the ENTIRE lineup all to himself. Not sure if that’s a pro or a con?

Brian Scott

Sometimes it just feels better to have at least one other surfer out there with you when it’s this big.

Brian Scott

But then again, Derek’s a super well seasoned surfer, so I’m pretty sure he was stoked he had an almost two football field sized reef to himself and one lone photographer lurking in way deep in the bushes, stickers and trees watching every wave he caught.

Brian Scott

I actually had a pretty rad birds eye view of the beach break way down the way. See how unorganized it looked. I mean there were some really legit waves to nab, but like I said it was a lot of work down there!

Brian Scott

Even some of the mysto spots were kegging. By the end of the day, I had finally heard from all of my surfed out buddies who took to different places and it sounded like everyone was happy and stoked on the places they went to get their fill.

Brian Scott

The reef, all alone, alone and looking pretty darn perfect!

Brian Scott

I had so many pics in the can in just 30 min, I could have easily left and made a report out of what I had in just that short amount of time, but why bail when the surfs this good?

Brian Scott

If you know this wave, its usually a long lined up wall just waiting for giant turns, but today had this peakiness to it that was otherwise indescribable.

Brian Scott

See that’s not a normal looking PD’s wall. It was really big and super rippable, just like Derek’s doing here.

Brian Scott

Meanwhile back down at frustrationville. haha, it did look pretty rad from this far down the beach though. Maybe tomorrow it will clean up a bit more and maybe this will be the angle to get when it’s prefect and hollow and square.

Brian Scott

Today had potential all up and down the coast. Which one of the two would you have picked????

Brian Scott

This one?

Brian Scott

Or this one? Okay my surfantistic friends. hope you enjoyed todays two for one Monday surf report. I really hope the early AM isn’t all morning sicknessed out like it was today. But we shall see…. hopefully my eyes and lens will pointed right in your direction! See ya mañana ~
