Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, June 21, 2018

Brian Scott

Hola friends, welcome to the Thursday surf report. We have some much smaller swell in the water right now, but the sunny sky’s & white puffy clouds made up for our lackluster marginal surf. Still, as always a nice day to be at the beach. Come get your toes sandy with me!

Brian Scott

Actually is was a mighty fine, family beach day today.

Brian Scott

This family that booked a trip this week scored since they’re getting waves pretty much all to themselves.

Brian Scott

Plenty of room out there to open up your wings and fly all over the place!

Brian Scott

I’m not sure if this family comes from a colder climate or not…

Brian Scott

But I will bet money, the water isn’t this warm where they usually do maneuvers like this.

Brian Scott

We have a new sport starting to evolve down here called “Disc Flip Flop Frisbee”. It’s catching on like hot cakes, so just remember you saw it here first!

Brian Scott

How do you know you’re doing a great job at being an older brother? When you show your little sister how to get shacked by doing and not saying.

Brian Scott

Kids (in this case siblings) are like sponges. Well done big brother!

Brian Scott

Like I said, today was a full family day at the playa. Everyone was down at the waters edge having heaps of fun.

Brian Scott

Some often wonder when is it coconut season down here… the correct answer is when are you thirsty.

Brian Scott

Check out them awesome looking “nubes” (Spanish for clouds, and now you know)

Brian Scott

Marginal days can actually be pretty fun.

Brian Scott

I think this fellow might agree.

Brian Scott

At the rate this grom is going here, I might be just as excited as him, to see what he’s gonna pull out of his sleeve come this new swell we have on tap for this weekend.

Brian Scott

Oh ya, I forgot to mention… we have a nice, juicy, new swell coming in Sat, maybe, hopefully some front runners tomorrow.

Brian Scott

In the meantime, enjoy the small, yet still beautiful nice clean surf.

Brian Scott

Life is like a sand castle… you might fall down from time to time, but you can always be rebuilt. Sometimes more beautiful than the one before. Deep thoughts with SBS - now I must call it a day. Los veo mañana ~
