Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, May 19, 2018

Brian Scott

Hey there Weekend friends. Welcome to Saturday surf report. It was a bit chunky out there today, as the reverse winds continued to serve up some onshore slop with some nuggety sections. Only the diehard fans were out so lets check em out shall we.

Brian Scott

Not sure who this guy was, but he sure was making these waves look super easy to surf in.

Brian Scott

See what I mean.

Brian Scott

My friend Fábio was out there as one of the diehards, making his statement with this bottom turn on this icky looking thing.

Brian Scott

Same with this dude. Not sure who he was either…

Brian Scott

but he certainly came to play in the surf, with moves like this.

Brian Scott

Josh, all focus on his balancing game.

Brian Scott

Good balance, which in turn, allows you do maneuvers like this.

Brian Scott

All day…

Brian Scott

Everyday.

Brian Scott

Whether it’s backside…

Brian Scott

frontside,

Brian Scott

Or vertical, surfing is fun no matter how you go about it.

Brian Scott

So is being swung by the hands by two grown ups when you’re a kid. Ahhhh to be a kid again!!

Brian Scott

The forecast is saying there isn’t a day in sight for some time where we’re supposed to get our offshores back.

Brian Scott

So I guess we’ll just continue to make due with what we have here for now.

Brian Scott

Why go to San Juan Del Sur for a foam party when we have it right here at the beach, and it’s free!

Brian Scott

I love U Nicaragua! Always have, always will! Stay strong!!!

Brian Scott

Got to play a fun role as paparazzi (sorta) while Javier “Baldo” took some iPhone snaps of his beautiful wife Sarah (who’s expecting) today at the Playa.

Brian Scott

You two are awesome!! Looking forward to seeing what’s in the oven soon….!

Brian Scott

Speaking of oven, man it’s been so muggy and HOT here with this low pressure system and crazy humidity.

Brian Scott

The only real way to cool off is to jump in the ocean and get wet.

Brian Scott

Stoked I’ll be jumping on a boat tomorrow and swimming for quite a few hours in the nice cool water.

Brian Scott

On a fun and sporadic silly side note, here’s El Jefé, Bryan “Pancho” McMandon showing his stoke "lengua" for a newly renovated house we were shooting today. Stay tuned for the new photos and possibility to rent this amazing beach front home soon!!! SBS out ~
