Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, April 04, 2017

Brian Scott

Buenos días mis amigos! Welcome back for our Tuesday surf report. Today we had a little drop in swell size, but the conditions were clean and glassy early in the morning with not too many people out.

Brian Scott

Carlos, up and at it early like me, likes to practice the “early bird gets the worm” philosophy…

Brian Scott

… which is why he can pull off things like this. Practice makes perfect and we have perfect waves here. So it’s a win win!

Brian Scott

Taking a peek over at the other peak up the way, looks like the waves were pretty good there as well.  Still well over head with nice offshore winds.

Brian Scott

Some more people started to make their way to the beach which was great for me. Now I can get some more good shots for you to enjoy!

Brian Scott

Even when it’s small(er) here, it is like a dreamy little playground.

Brian Scott

… be it from any angle you see.

One of the things that can help you to be a better surfer is riding the wave all the way in doing as many maneuvers as possible. Good practice, but don’t look back now Carlos, I know would love to be back there in that barrel!

Brian Scott

I was proud to see young Maycol Mejia here walking to school via the playa this morning. I asked him if he was going to surf and he quietly said, “no, I’m on my way to school”. Good Job kiddo! Keep up the good work. Your priorities are in the right place!

Brian Scott

There were still some head high + waves coming through every now and then.

Three to the beach is an old competitive surfing term that goes way back, but goes hand in hand with what I was referring to a little earlier. This chica has the right idea!

Brian Scott

As well as this hombre.

Friendly smiles and shaka’s on the beach - beats sitting in a car on the freeway for the morning commute every time!

Brian Scott

Don’t forget that you can plan your trip down here without the headache of lugging your quiver through all that TSA and airline fiasco. Check out our “Board Room”  http://www.surfnsr.com/nicaragua-surfboard-rentals where we offer a HUGE selection of rental boards of all shapes and sizes so you can minimize your luggage count and keep some extra cash in your pocket for some Toña’s while you’re down here!

Brian Scott

Speaking of commute… here comes our morning rush hour traffic!

Brian Scott

I’m thinking this was a way better right than a left. But things just worked out OK for everyone! Look how clear the water is. So beautiful the conditions have been!!

Brian Scott

Have you ever had "that feeling" after you have gotten out on a so-so wave, only to look back and see the prefect wave reeling through right where you were sitting waiting for that last wave in?

Brian Scott

Kinda like this wave here, which makes for my perfect parting shot to leave you with. Just remember there will always be waves to be ridden but it’s how we walk away after each session and not forget how lucky we are to have this incredible thing we like to do and call surfing. Enjoy the rest of your work week and thanks again for stopping by. You’ll be in the good hands with Parker and Javier getting the goods, until then I’ll see you guys back here for the weekend!

Hasta pronto ~
