Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, March 31, 2017

Brian Scott

Good afternoon! Happy Friday and welcome to todays surf report. I got down to the beach this morning to find these amazing conditions with crystal clear water and only a few people out.  It was super clean with very little wind on it with medium fun sized peaks coming through as the tide was going down.

Brian Scott

This visting surfer named Trever made it out early this morning scoring the lineup with only a few guys out. Nice turn!

Brian Scott

Look who made it down this morning. HotstickHannas has been so busy behind the lens he has no problem hamming it up for me.. I mean look at that face and how stoked is he to finally be back on the other side of the camera! Yeeww Parker - Go get some!

Brian Scott

I’m gonna rate that face a stoke factor of 10!

Brian Scott

Glad you’re back enjoying yourself in the surf Mr. GQ (ahem)… I mean… Señor HotstickHannas!

Brian Scott

Looking back down the beach I spotted a couple of these rolling in…

Brian Scott

So naturally… it’s monkey see, monkey do! I better go take a closer look!

Brian Scott

It was firing! You’ll notice the guy further back on the wave getting barrled… you always have to look down the line amigos. Chances are that a local or someone who surfs this wave well is locked in and there’s a 99% chance he’s going to make it! Such a beautiful wave too.

Brian Scott

Case in point. Same local here on a different wave. Lesther Espinoza in the 99 percentile, scoring 100 on this drainer!

Brian Scott

The chili water has since gone away now that all the strong winds have subsided and it’s nice and warm again; like tropical bath water.

Brian Scott

Carl took some time to enjoy the fruits of his labor this morning. That new board is looking sweet! So much speed.. nice and faaaassst down the line!

Brian Scott

There were plenty of ladies out in the lineup today as well and also some nice lefts coming through.

Brian Scott

Scott Wallach is a very tall individual, well over 6 feet. This kinda gives you an idea of the size in swell we have today. Super fun~

Brian Scott

So many people were out ripping, which made it tricky for me to pick the best shots for the report today - so many good ones! Just remember you can always send an e-mail to [email protected] to see if we got your photo or sequence from the day.

Brian Scott

Nothing beats an awesome morning surf like walking over to breakfast at Pili’s at the beach club, watching people getting barreled surfing while you refuel for your next session.

Brian Scott

We have Semana Santa coming up soon and the forecast for waves is looking really good..!! How sick would it be for you and your amigos to come stay in this home which is located right near Colorado's beach break and surf waves like you see in todays report. To check out Rancho Del mar click here http://www.surfnsr.com/nicaragua-vacation-rentals/133893 and get down here to score some epic surf while it's still available!

Brian Scott

Todays conditions summed up in two words.. oil - glass.

Brian Scott

We have a really great local community and camaraderie here where much of the order generation look after the up and coming future generations. In and out of the water.

Brian Scott

Chris Connor spends a lot of time in barrels here in Nica, probably because it’s so hot… and he’s also one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet!

Brian Scott

Hot Carl looking for shade.

Brian Scott

I see you, you see her, she more than likely sees the bottom it was so clear today.

Brian Scott

The local kids here are not only pushing the boundaries with their barrel riding skills, but their air game is pretty nuts too! Take One.

Brian Scott

Take Two.

Brian Scott

Take Three.

Brian Scott
