Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, February 14, 2023

Brian Scott

Happy Tuesday everyone! We have some new swell building, if you saw yesterdays report from last night, you saw how good it was. As promised, I went down there earlier this morning and here’s what I found!

Brian Scott

Stacking lines with only hand full of people out up at the reef.

Brian Scott

Caught Jack after panning over to him riding out the rest of this left. There was another gent taking the well overhead sized right, but either way, photo or no photo, I think everyone out there was having a great time regardless.

Brian Scott

I guess I could have or should have started with this shot before Jacks, but here’s the other dude taking the same wave but the right.

Brian Scott

So today’s report was calling 2-3, tomorrow is 2-4 and Thursday is 3-4 +

Brian Scott

So in surfing language for this place and that a size = ’s it’s gonna be ON!

Brian Scott

Dropping from the sky (or so it feels like when you’re paddling for a wave at the reef) and the thing jacks up on you, face and eyes completely blind from all the wind and saltwater blowing up the wave face. GOOD TIMES!!!!

Brian Scott

Big Rodge hanging out with his local buddies surfing near perfect PD’s on a pristine Tuesday morning.

Brian Scott

I will say that the wave of the day had to go to none other than Sophie! How she paddled into this wind blown monster was quite impressive.

Brian Scott

And with that drop, followed one super nice giant bowly wall, where she rode this thing like she has for many a few years now.

Brian Scott

Nice wrap around girl!!!! I could see your smiling face for that entire wave!

Brian Scott

See. . . grining ear to ear!!!! :)

Brian Scott

As I made my way back down the beach towards where I was parked, I couldn’t help but notice the little semi-crowd sitting at Colorados.

Brian Scott

Then I saw this set coming from way outside. . .

Brian Scott

I thought to myself, “Holy-Cow”!!!! It’s actually firing down at the beachie right now.

Brian Scott

Good thing I have my super long telephoto lens, as this would be practically impossible to catch with anything smaller (lens-wise) or even with the bare eye, it was so far away. But you can clearly see this dude getting his morning JAVA ON at our favorite wave here in Nicaragua!

Brian Scott

Obviously some very frothing and skilled watermen got on it early this AM, because you can see they’re just now getting back (I’m pretty sure I know where they went this morning), but I am just curious how it was??? Well, looks like it will have to be a coin toss between PD’s and PC mañana. I’m going with my gut instinct and just going to say I think it will be heads!!!! Jajaja be sure to check back in tomorrow to find out ~
