Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, January 09, 2017

Carl NSR

Hola and welcome. We woke to a true dry season day down here in Tola, Nicaragua. Winds are strong offshore and there's barely a cloud in the sky. The first spot we checked was just over knee high, pretty walled, and only had a couple takers.

Carl NSR

So we moved up the beach to find waves easily twice the size with three peaks working and some really nice shape. We dig these wheels #auto-modus-operandi #sixseater....

Carl NSR

The lineup was a little busier down this way, and while there were a couple short-boarders out there, longboards were the craft of choice for those looking to maximize their wave count.

Carl NSR

Though if these strong winds get under your board all your drops will be late like this guy.

Carl NSR

Finding trim......where you at Trin!

Carl NSR

Kenny easing into this one with style.

Carl NSR

Speaking of style, showing up to the beach in your own amphibious panga is pretty tight, yo!

Carl NSR

Not saying it was barreling but that didn't stop this guy from hunting one.

Carl NSR

Another pale rider on the hunt....

Carl NSR

Not a lot of turns out there today, but check out the textbook form of this roundy. Nice job sista!

Carl NSR

Always stoked to post another lineup shot when the view is like this. We feel endlessly blessed to call Nicaragua home and to call days like this the off season.
