Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, January 05, 2009

Hi folks, we are Jairo “Come Pan Panic” Ramos and Roberto “Lucha Libre” Garcia bringing you the action for the Monday surf report.  Today Lucha got back to work, after a week off he was getting tired to be just chilling out.  So we headed out to Playa Maderas and took a few locals to score some fun waves.  The swell was dying but there were still some head high sets coming through.   The winds were light offshore and the water was super nice and clear.  Check it out.

Everybody made it out to the beach in the morning because we wanted to take advantage of the tide conditions.  So the lineup was a little busy than normal but everybody caught a few good ones.  There are always many waves that nobody is able to ride them.  Here is this wave to give you guys an example.

The local kids were charging on every kind of waves.  They are so excited right now because we finally got some waves.  Here was caught Larry “Carita de Venado” Davila with a killer front side turn on this left.

Luis “La Baloy” Chamorro was showing us how to fly when we have some swell in the water.  He’s expecting that we can have many more waves coming soon.

Alfredo “El Peru” decided to take the big board out and ride a couple of heavy ones at Machete Pt.  He’s not surfing very often because he’s always working hard.  So it was nice to see him catching some waves out there.

“El Coki” Brox was ripping all over the place.  Check him out with this cool layback shot.  He actually was trying to do some aerial maneuvers but his hair is too heavy to let him fly.

Byron “El Abuelo” Lopez was part of the crew who was out today.  He was feeling pretty good to be surfing with all his grandsons.  Here he is taking a nice looking left.

The swell is dropping for tomorrow but we think it might be still pretty fun.  So be sure to check us back out.
