Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, December 07, 2008

Hi everyone thank you for joining us with us for the Sunday surf report.  Today the NSR surf school had a big day on the beach with some local’s kids.  The NSR surf school took the long boards out for a couple of hours try to teach the local kids how to surf.  Here we have a nice shot of our own friends Carlos Caliente and Pancho Sanchez showing them the first step to a fun new hobby.

After a little while of practicing on the beach these kids were ready to go out there and grab some waves and practice their new skills.  Here are a few shots of them taking some fun ones and enjoying their first day on a surfboard.  These kids were so stoked to be with NSR surf school today.

After a couple hours in the water we decided to have a little contest between these kids on the beach.  We wanted to clean up the beach a little bit and gave prizes to the ones that collected the most trash.  We were stoked with outcome as we filled up quite a few bags of garbage.

Here is a group shot of everyone that was able to participate with us for our NSR surf school and clean up day.  We are planning to do a lot more of these community beach days in the future.  We want to say thanks to all that were involved.

Later on we went to Maderas to get some surf action before dark and score some fun waves.  It was running about waist to chest high with some occasionally head high sets, the wind was offshore and the water was nice.

There were several people on the beach having a good time and enjoying the sunny day.  Today we caught this unknown rider in the right spot taking off on this nice left.

Our boss Pancho Sanchez was able to take the big panga out again today and catch some fun ones.  Here he is taking one of the biggest waves of the day.

We had another great day down here in Nicaragua.  If you are thinking of planning a trip down here, be sure to let us know and maybe we can help with some of the details.  Make sure to check back with us tomorrow.
