Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, December 08, 2008

Hi everyone, we are the NSR family bringing you the Monday surf report.  Today we went to Playa Maderas and took the big boards out once again.  The waves were small but it was pretty fun for the big pangas.  It was running about knee to waist high with some sporadic chest high sets, the winds were offshore and the water was super nice.  Check out what we got!!!

Our very own D-lite was able to paddle out and caught a few fun ones.  He was so stoked to be out sharing some good waves with his friend Pancho Sanchez.  Here he is going off the top on this right.

Here we have Pancho with a cool front side shot on this right.  The waves have been pretty small since he got here but he’s still having so much fun with the whole NSR family.  He is expecting to go diving in the next few days but we are waiting until the water gets crystal clear.

A few of locals made it out to the beach and were killing it on the small waves.  This is our very good friend Larry “Carita de Venado” Davila with a cool turn. He has successfully finished the school program and now he is ready to spend more time on the beach.

Caleb “El Pescadito” Cooper was kind of tired after the Olympics Games at Mango Rosa the last weekend but he was still able to take the big panga out and catch plenty of fun ones.  Here he is styling on this looking left.

“La Bailarina” was ripping all over the place this morning.  He was mixing all his dancing knowledge with the surf moves and set a new surfing style.  Here he is with his new version of “El Alicate” combined with some salsa moves.

Here we have Marc taking one of the best set waves of the day.  He is still feeling the beer reactions from the last weekend party but he was able to ride a couple of nice ones.

Today Jairo went to the lake with a couple of good friends from Managua because they wanted to take advantage of the lake conditions to practice a new sport down here in Nicaragua.  Kate boarding in the lake has become one the most popular sports to practice.  Here we have our friend Hugo "El Chacalin" Holman and his girlfriend getting ready to feel some adrenaline.

Hugo"El Chacalin" Holman really knows how to ride this thing.  He was making all kind of maneuvers all over the place.  Here he is with a sweet turn with so much speed.

Here we have one last shot of Hugo, "El Chacalin" Holman this time going big with a huge busting air.  Hugo wanted to say these words to everyone who check NSR:  you guys have to start doing this thing because it is really fun.

At the end of the day we have a new contest on the beach.  Who has the best Raccoon hair style?  Pancho Sanchez was one of the finalists but he still needs to paint his hair a little bit more.  The waves are supposed to be about the same for tomorrow so check back with us.
