Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, November 18, 2019

Brian Scott

Happy Monday surf fans! The swell we had dropped a little bit, but that never means there isn’t any surf-able waves here in Nica-Land. Let me show you what I mean…!

Brian Scott

First off…. I should express that I had a very long day which included some never before navigating the back streets of the deep Managuan pueblos (which was a whole other report story in itself if I had the time to cover that), but needless to say, by the time I made it back to do my daily duties which is bring you the waves of the day, I was pretty disheartened when I pointed my lens at our favorite beachie to see this. Ugh! Say it ain’t so!!!!

I’m not even falling for the illusion that PC is done for the season. Then again, neither is Alex. He know’s what’s UP! I know we’ve got at least until December before we might see the sandbar pumping heaven we all live for here take it’s normal off season siesta.

In the meantime, everyone loves a little afternoon backlit see through glow.

Maybe the masses ARE already making their way North. Like some kind of weird “Human” bird migration.

The only difference with this spot on our beloved beaches here, is there is no beach club (which means no nachos, beers, cocktails or even sunset volleyball), but this arena has it’s own setting all in its own fair share of coolness. It’s more rustic. More natural feeling. Like that feeling when come over a hill and see the surf for the fist time, not knowing what to expect. I think this its what makes this place so magical. There’s always a different place and vibe to offer all year round!

Brian Scott

Not to mention, this place has a really cool, mystic outer reef wave feeling. It’s kinda hard to describe (that it’s nothing like a beach break), but if you’ve surfed here, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.

Mikey and the local crew have proven themselves very well here at this wave (especially in the offseason).

Looking way down the line, you can see just how well it can rope in with just a 3 wave set, like here. And most swells will see sets in the 5 to 6 maybe 7 or even 8 count range.

Brian Scott

The backdrop for many things that have so much potential, for that “away” from the crowd feeling… if you’re willing to explore a little (zoom in if need be).

With the waters naturally cooling down, I think maybe I’m gonna do a contest to see who can go the longest into Jan or Feb that can “JUST TRUNK IT” Jajajajaja…. sounds kinda fun right???

Brian Scott

Hands down, one of Nicaragua’s best waves ever to shine on your Longboard fancy style of surfing.

Brian Scott

Hands down one of THE BEST places on earth for the best Sunsets.

Brian Scott

Ok, maybe I ran a lot of hot air on todays report, but then again, I try to speak as much truth as I can about this place on my daily reporting duties and the magic this place carries. However, this guys air is Hot on a completely different level.

If you surfed this late afternoon and wherever you surfed, I truly hope it was a super great session! If you didn’t surf, I hope these images satisfied your tasty waves needs picturally!!! Because as we all know with this digital era, Surf porn is where it’s at!!! I just wanna be the “Larry Flynt” of surfing is all…. Hahahaha - Buenas Noches ~
