Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, October 26, 2019

Brian Scott

Welcome to the Saturday Surf Report amigos! We had some constant rain with some even worse ocean conditions that didn’t want to let up the entire day. However, I promise I’ve got some something worth your viewing pleasure if you click that “Read More” button!

Brian Scott

Ya, so here’s looking to the South. More rain on its way from Rivas area and beyond.

Brian Scott

Here’s how it looked up North. Onshore winds were firing! Not exactly what we like to hear or say around here, but it happens.

Brian Scott

Lucky for me (only because I really really hate striking out by not having a single surfer on any report) but here’s the one guy who thought it might be fun to go STTTHURFFFFFIN today!!!!

Brian Scott

Oh, there is definitely swell… lots of really juicy wind swell… but finding anything remotely clean to ride was going to be pretty hard.

Brian Scott

Look at the size of those wind lumps and bumps out at sea. Today was one of those Netflix marathon days for sure!!

Brian Scott

I would almost say it was kinda cold today. But in a humidly tropical semi warm kind of way, cold.

Brian Scott

I will tell you, the weather here rarely scares away the beach people. Especially the kiddos. Because what kid doesn’t like playing in the rain?? Just remember the sun’s powerful rays don’t go away just because it’s hiding behind some dark grey clouds. Good job dad!

Brian Scott

I told you there was some really juicy wind swell.

Brian Scott

Ok! Enough of that depressing messy surf. Let’s take a look back at some of the best in and out barrels of the season here, performed by some of our regular tube hounds. Here’s Oscar Espinosa, quite possibly one of the best backside barrel riders here in Nicaragua. Ya/No? You be the judge on this freight train right back in July.

Brian Scott

Or how about Jackson Obando’s 12 + second Indo Blue barrel back in May??? Nice finish on that wave buddy, that would be a solid 10 on the tour!!!

Brian Scott

Let’s finish things off with this ominously lit late afternoon emerald green salt mine Carlos Perez weaves and drives himself through to completion without getting axed by the end closeout section. ENJOY!!!!

Brian Scott

Okie dokie peee’oppp’lee! That’s all I got for today. Hope you enjoyed the little trip down memory lane. Let’s see how things play out mañana for Sunday Funday. Have a great Sat night out!!! Yewwww ~
