Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, October 15, 2008

Welcome everyone to the Wednesday surf report.  This is Jairo “Come Pan" bringing you the surf action.  Today we found out that we have two more tropical systems in the Caribbean, so for the next few days it's going to be overcast with a lot of rain over most of Central America.  Today we had some small swell coming in.  It’s was running about chest to shoulder high on sets, the wind was onshore, and the water is still very brown.  Check it out.

The surf conditions weren’t very good, but there were some surfer’s taking advantage of what little waves that we had.  Here we have a shot of one of local’s taking off on a mushy left.

We caught Larry “Carita de Venado” Davila with a nice off the lip on a fun looking left.  We were surprised to see that he was actually catching a few good waves.

This is one of the teams that make up the Basketball League of our Municipality.  Last night was the last game of the first round and this team took the victory and with it took first place.  Most of the players come from the United States and now reside here in San Juan.  Congratulations guys, keep up the good work.

We really liked the colors in this photo of a local fruit stand here in San Juan Del Sur.  Everywhere you go in Nicaragua you can see the brilliant colors that this culture has to offer.

For the last shot of the day we have another picture from our archives.  This was one of the first swells of the season, it was in February of 2008.  This one is of D-lite and as you can see it was well overhead on this day.  Please check in with us tomorrow.
