Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, October 14, 2008

Hi everyone, thanks for checking in with us for the Tuesday surf report.  Today the weather conditions weren’t very good.  It has been raining all day and the waves were running about knee to waist high on sets, the wind was onshore and the water was murky.  Check it out.

Every now and then the rain would let up.  We took this chance to take a picture of the storm drain right next to our house, as you can see there was a lot of water coming down.  It’s like we have our very own Waterfall in the front yard.

We took some time today to get some much needed work done at the future NSR house.  You can see that D-lite and Jairo were working hard to get as much done as possible while we had a little break in the weather.

Sometimes when we have onshore conditions the fishing is very good here in San Juan.  Here are our friends “Codo” and Allen “La Prenda” showing off the rewards of taking a boat out for some spear fishing.  It looks like they are going to have a sweet feast tonight.

The rain stopped just long enough for us to take our team mascot “Riena” for a little walk down to the bay.  We were able to get a killer shot of the sunset.  A shot like this has been a rarity lately, so we were stoked to see such a beautiful sight.

Yesterday we told you that we were going to have one photo from our archives everyday this month.  This one is of Carlito “Caliente” with a sick left at one of our favorite point breaks.  Please be sure to check back with us tomorrow
