Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, October 11, 2022

Brian Scott

Total tuani Tuesday amigos!!! That means it’s a good day but in local slang (partially). So the surf report for today is that there are definitely some waves out there, but the ocean is still a bit mixed up and there was quite a bit of morning sickness out there this AM, that and the water is still petty nasty and brown, but to each is own… if you paid to come surf, well then you better get some while you can. That being said, I think it’s only going to get better as the week progresses. So without further ado, let’s get the party crackin’!

Brian Scott

All mixed up, even some spitting cobras out there, but that tide the twas dropping quickly didn’t help with the otherwise funked up conditions.

About a handful of surfing out and plenty of others making their way to the beach. Don’t worry hermano, if you’re here for the week, I guarantee you’ll get that barrel that you came all the way here for!

Making the long walk from somewhere near the other end of the beach. 4 hombres ready to tackle some low tide Willy Wonka Colorados!

Brian Scott

See that wave face… that’s why I said it was “FUUUUUNKEEEE” out there!

Brian Scott

But this dude didn’t care, he came to get down, he came to get down So get out your seat and jump around!!! Jump! Jump! Jump! Jump!

Brian Scott

Everybody jump!!! jajaja

I’m hoping we’ll have our own little house (or shacks) of pain coming with that yearly October swell that we always get!

In the meantime we’ll settle for even just something surf-able for now.

This fellow waaaay down the beach in no-mans land cracking a nice one of this little corner section.

There was actually a big fat dark bulk of rain clouds heading my way and you all remember what happened the last time I waited just a little too long, so I started to make my way back to the safety to the coverage of my camera bag and moto and jam out of there. But as I was making my way back up the beach, I saw this one set come. Biggest set of the day for sure. Looks almost like it could be perfect just by the image itself…. Dude’s right in the right spot, the take off looks good….

But…. you know it happens. It happens to each and everyone one of you who surfs. Just a little bump or chop on the wave face sent this guy over the handle bars, and the sequence you can feel this poor guys pain as he went back up and over the falls. I am sure only as I am pretty certain he got to meet that hard sand bottom on the return going over the falls backwards.  Well…. you win some and you lose some! I give him credit for going at least!  Next one buddy…. you’re gonna get so pitted, it’ll make your trip worth ever penny you spent. I hope you and your amigos are getting a good chuckle at least out of the best parting shot for a while since there hasn’t been anything surf-able (ie able to photograph since before the hurricane). Just go easy on him fellas!!!!  haha nothing a few Toñas can’t help you out with!

The same guys from earlier, never even paddled out. They came, they saw, and  they decided, that’s a big NO (for now)!  Ok amigos, tomorrows my last day after doing I think I counted somewhere around 18 straight days of reports after tomorrows. So my hands, fingers and mind will be happy to take a little break from shooting a writing for so many days on end. But it’s been fun! Let’s see what tomorrow has on tap. See ya out there in the AM ~
