Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, October 11, 2018

Brian Scott

Welcome to the Thursday surf report. The onshores still continue to batter our beaches here in Nica-Land, but fortunately we have a few creative types here who know a thing or two about a work-around. Strap in and see what I’m referring to.

Brian Scott

Not our best winds here. BUT that being said, I think this is how a lot of surf spots around the globe look more times than not.

Brian Scott

Luckily for us, this will soon be over and we will actually have TOO strong of offshore winds. Believe it or not.

Brian Scott

Dario…. I completely feel your sentiment in body language.

Brian Scott

Casey is an onshore warrior, to say the least.

Brian Scott

Ohhhh, hmmmm what do we have going on here????

Brian Scott

Betcha wished your form looked this good on a really shitty day too. Don’t worry. I’m jealous too.

Brian Scott

Looks like we have our own “strapped crew” here, and they’re looking to utilize every ounce of these onshore winds to their advantage.

Brian Scott

Smart move amigos!!!

Brian Scott

Actually these guys are legit kite surfers and they live here which is super rad because although I can’t 100% for sure confirm this, but I’m not sure if we’ve ever even had kite surfers grace our surf report in all years??? Hot Carl or Pancho can you confirm this???

Brian Scott

Casey finding the only onshore barrel out there today.

Brian Scott

Dario was actually free riding out there without any straps, but this sums up Dario perfectly. “Straps…. I don’t need straps”!!

Brian Scott

Onshores…. BRING IT!!!!

Brian Scott

Carlos getting high… in his own unique way.

Brian Scott

Doing a cutback on a wind-chop lump that isn’t even a real wave. Yea, this is some pretty nice kitesurfing that was going down this afternoon.

Brian Scott

Doing a cutback on a wind-chop lump that is actually a real wave. Casey showing us once again how well he uses his ocean wave knowledge in some of our worst conditions.

Brian Scott

Carlos fading off into the golden hour sunset light. Isn’t it nice to have so many wave riding vehicles for every different condition. Si!!!!!!

Brian Scott

Alright friends. Glad we had some of the boys out there giving us some proper content for todays surf report. Thanks amigos! Be sure to check back mañana for TZ’s report. Chao ~
