Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, October 11, 2008

Hi and thanks for joining us to the Saturday surf report.  Today we woke up early so exited to catch some fun waves with offshore winds but as soon as we got to the beach we totally were disappointed because the winds were still onshore and the waves were small and smooth.  There were not many waves to be had and many people were out because everybody thought that we were going to have good conditions during the whole day.  It was running about chest to shoulder high on sets and the water is finally getting clear.

D-lite was one of the first surfers who paddled out today because he wanted to get some waves before the crowd show up to the beach.  Here he is caught with a sweet round house on a small but nice looking left.

The crowd finally showed out to the beach and most of them were chicks.  Here we have a shot of this small crew getting ready to score a couple of decent waves.  Hey ladies, if you really want to have fun be sure to go out tonight  and party with the locals.

A few locals made it out today and were taking advantage on some of the best set waves that were coming through.  Edwin “El Tuzo” Morales was part of the locals who paddled out and he was having fun for a while.

Larry “Carita de Venado” Davila was surfing pretty well today.  It seems like he has been working a lot in his maneuvers to beat “La Bestia” in the upcoming contest, but we think he still has a long way to go.

On the last shot of the day we have this unknown pale rider taking a nice left hander.  Hopefully tomorrow we’ll get offshore wind, so stay tuned and score some good surf with us.
