Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, October 12, 2008

What’s up guys, welcome to the Sunday surf report, this is Jairo “Come Pan” Panic bringing you all the surf action for today.  We are super stoked today because the winds are offshore and we have a little swell in the water.  This afternoon we headed out to Maderas to see what we could find.  This is what we saw when we pulled up.

It was a little crowded but we didn’t expect anything less considering the conditions of late.  Everyone is so hungry for some quality surf that there were quite a few drop-ins going down.  As you can see the waves were really fun.  It was running chest to head high with an occasional overhead set here and there and the water was clear.

Here is a shot of our old friend “Coqui” with one of the nicer lefts that came through.  He was all over the place getting the biggest set waves all day long.  It is nice to have such a clean day this time of year.

There were a few waves breaking over at Machete point and Dexter “Akamay” Ramirez was one of the guys sitting over there waiting for the sets to come in.  We surfed twice today and he stayed out the entire time without a break.

This is one of the many up and coming local groms that is surfing almost everyday in every condition that Mother Nature throws his way.  You can see by the caliber of his surfing that it is paying off in a big way.  His name is Alberto “Boquita” Areyano and you will probably be seeing more of him in the future.

For the last shot of the day we have “D-lite” with a sweet little left.  Please join us again tomorrow because we are supposed to have one more day of offshore winds and we will be there to bring you all of the action.
