Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, September 22, 2008

Welcome to the Monday surf report. We are Roberto “Lucha Libre” and D-lite bringing you some good news from Maderas.  Today as forecasted the wind switched back offshore and we have a little swell in the water.  It’s running chest high with an occasional head high set.  Check out what we got.

We will start out today with one of the local rippers.  This is Luis snagging one of better set waves and going vertical.  He told us that he was stoked to get a surf in with good conditions before his trip.  He is heading to El Salvador to compete in the Quiksilver Pro this coming weekend.  Good luck and we are sure that you will make us proud.

Here we have Augusto, another local guy who kills it showing us his smooth style.  We were surprised that there were only a couple of local guys out today.  You would think that with the wind being onshore for as long as it was that it would have been super crowded, not that we are complaining.

Today we didn’t have many locals out but we did have some international surfers taking advantage on some of the better waves of the day. So, you guys have to be sure to check NSR Surf Shots out today because we might have some good photos of your trip, since it’s been onshore for the last few days.  Here we have one of the unknown riders that were out taking off on some fun looking waves.

There were plenty left and right handers to be had all over the place, this is what we like about this beach break.  Here we caught another international friend bottom turning a nice left.

There were 2 or 3 cute chicks trying to learn how to surf and they were doing pretty well.  Lucha was kind of busy taking pictures of everybody in the water today but at least he got one of these chicks at the end of her session.  Good job lady, don’t give up!!!

We hope this guy gets in contact with us because we got a nice sequence of this wave.  We wanted to share this photo to give him a little taste.

We definitely wanted to show you this photo because it was the biggest wave that came in.  Hopefully tomorrow we will have similar conditions in the morning and we’ll get some more good shots.  Today the wind came on shore around 10:00 am, so you need to make sure that you surf early tomorrow because it is supposed to do the same.

Alright guys, that’s all for today.  Say hi lady you are on NSR.  Maybe we can ride that horse if the wind stays onshore tomorrow.
