Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, September 21, 2008

What’s up guys, this is Jairo “Come Pan” bringing you the Sunday surf report.  Today the waves were super small and the wind was onshore, and it has been raining off and on all day. Today we took the camera out with us to see some of the different things going on around town, and what the people are doing when the waves are not very good.   Check out what we got.

Today we found some of the local’s guys taking advantage of the low tide playing some soccer on the beach.  Caleb and I decided to join them for an hour of so, this way we could work up a sweat and get some exercise before we go to watch football.

We also found a local guy with this snake on the beach.  He said that the previous owner had pretty much abandoned this beautiful creature for like two years and just let it sit in a  cage.  You can see that the new owner has put some medicine on her skin to try to get rid of the infection she has developed from sitting in one place for so long.  She is  looking better and is well on her way to recovery

Today we decided to check out the new sports bar that just opened in town.  We heard that they had the NFL ticket and you can watch your favorite teams play all season long. Our good friend thought that a sports bar would be a good addition to San Juan and we showed up to find that a lot of people were thinking the same thing.  Check it out.

We met a lot of super nice people while watching the games.  This crew is from Manhattan Beach California, they are here to celebrate one of the guy’s birthday and they decided that Nicaragua was a good place to have the party.

Here is a few of them enjoying each other's company, from left to right we have, Raphaela, Katy, Casey and Trang the “Donger”.  Welcome to San Juan Del Sur, we hope that you enjoy your vacation here and it was a pleasure to meet all of you.

We think the new sports bar is going to be a hit with the visitors and the locals alike.  They have great food, a cool vibe and you can also challenge someone to a game of pool, so if you are in town be sure to check out this new place.  The wind is supposed to go back offshore tomorrow, so hopefully we can get back to bringing you some killer surf shots. See you then.
