Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, September 19, 2008

Hello there and thank you for joining us for the Friday surf report.  Today we had more ON SHORE winds and small surf with quite a bit of rain.  The waves are running about waist high with occasional chest high sets.  We got this shot of Caleb  “El Pescadito” Copper crossing the river heading out of town to go to another one of our many breaks that we have close to town.

When we arrived we found we had a little wave coming in.  Here we have Inka who hails from Germany taking a decent right.  This was actually one of the better waves that were coming in.  She has been eager to see a picture of herself on NSR.  We try to please.

This is a shot of a really good friend of ours from San Juan.  His name is Allan “La Prenda” Carcamo and he puts a lot of time in the water.  He was telling us that he really prefers the bigger waves but was stoked just to get in the water today.

We have had a couple of guys who have been using paddle boards when the waves have been small.  They catch a lot of waves and it looks like great exercise.  A lot of the local surfers are curious and want to try it out for them selves.  Maybe in the next few days we will get some pictures of them giving it a go.

Our friend Caleb and the gang at Peace Passers. Org  sponsored the local girls soccer team this year and the officials of the league had their logo painted on a wall in the field. We wanted to show that these guys are doing great things for the kids of the community and we really do appreciate it.  We are proud to be a part of their organization.

The waves haven’t been very good this week so we are trying to add a little spice to the report to make sure that you keep coming back for more.  Here Jairo “Come Pan” gives you a little something different.  Please check back with us tomorrow and hopefully the waves and conditions will be a better.  “Peace Out”
