Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, August 03, 2022

Brian Scott

Welcome back for another rainy day surf day! But the waves were still offshore and a little bit of some morning sickness early, but then cleaned up a tad more once the morning time and tide passed dead high.

Shooting in the rain is always a nuisance, or more like and inconvenience due to not just the wet weather which makes it harder to get out there (thankfully I do have a rain cover) but the lighting isn’t as epic and dreamy as we have most of the days here.

That being said, rain or shine, the shcralp-festivities are always on. . . when there’s good waves to be had!

This la niña season has certainly turned out to be one of the wettest seasons in quite a long time, which was predicted.

But with all things open again, the surf travel and tourism (specifically here in Nicaragua) is back in full swing!

Pushing “fuerte” like Andrews super sick turn here!

Brian Scott

No barrels today, unfortunately.

But the rail game was consistent and on par for todays size and conditions.

Even the air show was being put on full display. Nemo here putting all of his almost pushing 20 years of surfing experience (that being from where he started surfing at a super young age, growing up in some of the bests waves in Maui) when he started his surfing career. Pretty cool to see a good friend after so many years, watching them go from super grom to super man! Nemo taking flight for the thousandth time!!!!
