Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, July 21, 2008

Welcome to the Monday surf report. This is Jairo “Come Pan “ Panic and Mateo “Pledge” bringing you the report. The swell is still good, but the waves at the beach were not what we expected. It was only running about head high on sets with offshore wind. It could have been the tide and/or the change in beach. We will see tomorrow, but check out what we got today.

The first surfing shot we got today is Mateo “El Generoso” doing a nice front slash. He came down here a few months ago, from San Diego, and met a bunch of the people and became pretty attached. He came back about a week ago with some boards to give to some of the local kids.

Here is Juanito “Mosque” de la Perra with a radical front side snap. He was so stoked that Mateo gave him this board. He said it was way faster than the other board he was riding.

This is Jorge “Chispero” with a nice back side off the lip. He was also super stoked to get his new board. He said he is going to win the next contest now that he has this board.

This is the last shot we got of Mateo “El Generoso”. We are always really excited when people come down here and give back to the community. We are really glad you are down here Mateo and we hope you get some more good waves before you leave.

Mateo “Pledge” was out there getting some fun waves. We are all super bummed that he is going to be leaving in a few weeks. You better get your fill a waves down here because we know back home you wont have waves like this.

The last shot of the day we have an empty right hander thumping across the beach. The swell is still around, so we are going to try to find some really good waves tomorrow.
