Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, July 18, 2009

Hello world! This is your roving surf reporter “Chewy” back for another edition of Nicaragua Surf Report! Today the waves were fun running about chest high with a pretty hard offshore wind! There were a bunch of people in the water and some load/annoying music on the beach so we can feel like we are at the disco even when we are surfing… Oh joy!

We are gonna start things off with a congrats to Randy and Lora for their wedding last night! It was beautiful and it was also the reason I was surfing with a hangover! Here is the photographer from the wedding,       taking some surfing shots and also our buddies Rutledge and Shannon who are spending the week with us!  WELCOME TO NICARAGUA!!!

Here I am back from the dead! (I have been sick) I was catching some fun waves with “Sandwich” over by the rocks, having a blast. Great shot Jairo! I swear that spray was bigger from my angle!

Here’s Lester getting ready to pop the fins out! The waves were kinda soft at times and it made it hard to get speed. Lester brought his rocket booster to the beach and was ready to go!

Here is Michael hand dragging waiting for this thing to set up. Dude, you might be waiting a while but still stoked on the picture!

Julian was trying to play Jedi mind tricks with the guy on the shoulder! They are in a stare down contest and he is praying that guy doesn’t drop in on him!

Check out Pancho Sanchez throwing a big fan of water on this nice looking left.  As you can see in this shot Pancho looks like fall off but don’t worry guys, he made it!!!  That’s sick Pancho!!!

Here is Augusto “La Gaviota” Chamorro popping a 360 double grab! There was so much wind you had to hold on for dear life! Stoked on this air dude! Teach me!

This is our buddy Rutledge from Jacksonville (Represent!!!) Stoked to be out surfing some waves! (Jacksonville has been flat) Dude two surf sessions and el Pozo from dinner sounds like a good day!

Alright guys that’s it for today! Hope you have a great day wherever you are and I’ll see you in the water! North Florida and San Juan out!
