Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, July 18, 2006

Today didn't disappoint. This wave is pretty sick - 300 meter rides were not uncommon, 2 barrel sections, light crowds and overhead sets. This is Hot Carl, getting the lead out.

Wait a second, the last shot was of the lineup. This one is Hot Carl getting the lead out. Go Hot Carl, Go! Needless to say, we didn't take many photos today - muchos sancudos en la playa y muy caliente tambien. It was better to stay in the water...and we did, for like 6 hours.

After the wind came up, we got kind of bored and hot, really hot. I walked down the point to take this shot. You can see our campsite on the very tip. Not a bad place to camp.

Here's a close up of our set-up. We were pretty much the only people here except or the few locals who watch over the property and man the locked gate. You might not be able to tell, but it's like 200 degrees in this photo.

Hi, this is Roberto with the surf report, It's head high on sets out here at Maderas and the wind is offshore. Check out the wave at Machete pt.

Here is the panga with a nice wipeout.

This is Andres from Argentina.

I don't know this guy but he was always in the close out.

Check back tomorrow.
