Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, June 17, 2015

Hey everybody! Welcome to the Wednesday surf report with Parker. Overnight, the waves and offshore winds picked up and brought some awesome surf. We've got a ton of epic photos for you today so make sure to scroll all the way down to the bottom...and be sure to check out our Facebook page (Nicaragua Surf Report) and Instagram (@surfNSR) for even more Nicaragua surf photos!

Kevin caught an epic right barrel and rode it all the way to the beach. Because of the offshore winds, we had some phenomenal tubes today!

Oscar scored an awesome wave too! He always squeezes in the barrel and puts on a show for everybody.

I was taking mental notes to see how other big guys navigate a tube. Bear caught a nice wave and managed the tube.

Not every wave sucked off the low tide sandbar and created a tube. However, those waves had great faces and plenty of room for guys like Kevin to throw killer sprays.

After zooming down the line, this guy nailed a cut back. This gave the wave a moment to reform and allowed the surfer to get back into position.

Check this guy out! He was deep in the barrel surfing backside. Nice wave amigo!!

Mike caught an unforgettable right this morning! Check out the following sequence.

During the first section, he was totally barreled and covered up. Considering the water colors, I bet that was a beautiful view!

You don't need sunscreen when you are covered up for that long.

He rode the wave all the wave to the beach. Mike, when you see this or return your board, email me at parker@nicaraguasurfreport. These shots are in low resolution and only part of the 50 I have.

Lesther is a barrel master and was surfing all morning. Thanks to the speed he built up, he threw a huge air.

Oscar wanted to join the party too. He launched off the lip and threw a sick 180!

Another guy was screaming down the line and enjoying a solid right tube. He did a great job by freeing up his back hand so he maintained maximum speed.

Check out how this surfer positioned himself. He effortlessly guided his way through the barrel and made his friends jealous. Yeww!

Even though the surf was pumping, Kevin and John's family still enjoyed the warm water and sunny beach. They played with their Beater boards and handplanes in the calmer section north on the beach.

Meanwhile, other people scheduled a horseback tour. Remember to contact NSR to schedule you boat trip to explore other breaks or relax after a long session with a massage. If you want the sequence and other pictures of your session, email me at [email protected]. Thank you all for checking out our surf today! See you tomorrow and Parker is out!

Time for a little bit of bonus coverage from Pancho Sanchez out at the beach this AM.  A little known fact about the history of NSR is that we have deep ties to N. California and are avid sports fans.  This is our fearless leader and self-proclaimed #1 Warriors Fan in Nicaragua - Mr. Carlos Caliente.  Carlos was chanting "WARRIORS...WARRIORS..." as he walked up the beach, obviously still on cloud 9 after a big win last night and a morning full of barrels.  If you listen closely, you can still hear him.  #Dubnation

This guy was CHARGING and grabbed this set wave from the pack!!! Did he make it? Doesn't matter, we got the shot bro! Yeewwwwww!!!!

We are pretty sure this is Mike, who rented a board from NSR and proceeded to pick off numerous right hand barrels in rapid succession.  This is why NSR rents awesome boards - so you can get barreled!!!  We've got a bunch of great pics of you man....email [email protected] if you want the high-res versions.

Mike again, different wave, same spot...same rental board from NSR.

Now this was one of the prettiest waves of the day. The first guy was too deep but the second guy...I'd be pretty upset if I was the second guy. There are plenty of waves out there folks, make sure to always look behind you and don't drop in on people.

This is my new friend Franc from SXM Surf Explorer in the Caribbean. Franc, we've got a really good sequence of this wave too. If you are interested, email [email protected]

This is my good friend and fellow #oldestcity bretheren Lou Bob. Louie and his wife are new landowners here in Nicaragua and this is his new back yard. I think he's starting to like it here.

One more shot of my friend Louie.  You were charging out there today bro!

Alright everybody, that's all for now. This swell is supposed to hold and the waves should continue to be fun for the next few days. Get on your horse and get out there!!! Pancho out!
