Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, June 07, 2008

Hey guys this is Roberto “Lucha Libre” and Mateo “Pledge” with the Saturday surf report. We headed out to the beach today and the waves were running about chest to shoulder high with hardly anyone in the water. The wind was offshore and the water was warm. The tide was kind of lower but there was still some waves to be had. Check it out!

The first shot of the day we have a guy visiting from Brazil cruising down a relatively thick wave. When we were surfing out there the waves were not epic but it was nice to have your pick of any waves because the crowd was so nonexistent.

We spotted one our good friends out there , Yaosca “Yao Ming”, improving her surfing skills in the water today. This is her with her first official surfing shot on NSR. Felicidades!

The next shot is of our friend Paul who is visiting here from LA with his wife, Meagan. They decided to make Nicaragua their honey moon destination and they have had a great time so far. Here Paul is showing that he can still has energy reservoirs even halfway into the honey moon.

English- After Yaosca finished her session we thought we would give her a little interview. Yaosca is 23 and she is from Nicaragua. She moved to San Juan del Sur about four years ago. She said that San Juan del Sur is her favorite place in Nicaragua because there are so many nice people and there is a real good social scene after hours. Yaosca’s favorite place to eat is “The Chicken Lady” because she makes the best gallo pinto. She also loves to dance with her eyes closed so she can feel the music better. The last question was: What would win in a battle between the biggest baddest bear vs the biggest baddest tiger? She thought that the tiger would win because tigers are so much more agile. Thanks so much for the interesting interview Yao Ming. Keep on flexin girl!

Mantenga flexible chica!

The last shot of the day we got the “Pledge” taking off on an alright looking wave. The swell kind of slacked off today but tomorrow the interval is back up and the wind should be golden! So we should be getting some real fun surf. Stay tuned!
