Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, May 16, 2011

A quick shout out to the Surfari Charters big boys.  These guys have been crushing it lately.  They caught this sick sailfish yesterday afternon and a few Mahi that you can see in the next pic.

Who wants some Mahi Tacos?  These guys are always the first ones to jump in the water when the fish is hitting.  Good for you folks, keep sending the shots so we can post them up!

What's up people??  Eric here with the surf report for this Monday morning.  The rains laid off today and we had some insanely glassy conditions.  The waves were about chest to head high with a light crowd.  The sun was shining and the water felt great.

Andrew "young buck" paddled into a few beauties.  Here he is with a sick tube setup coming at him.

Before Carlos Caliente went surfing he took some photos.  He caught D-Lite way down the beach with a frontside power gouge.

Once Carlos went surfing, the waves just started coming to him..  Here he is getting all covered up on a hollow one!

There are some beautiful setups here in Nicaragua.  Right from the sand and into the mountains.  Unknow surfer with a nice bottom turn in front of a killer backdrop.

When the tide was low, you could walk out to the waves.  It was shallow, but it gave the surf some great form.

I was able to paddle out early this morning.  Enjoying the very uncrowded lineup!

A couple of kids came down from Florida to get into some pacific power!  Here's one of them with a nice frontside shack.!  That's all for today, thanks for tuning in with us here at NSR.  The swell will be on the rise this week and in a couple of days it should be MACKING!  Be sure and stay connected with us as we bring you all the action straight from the beach.  Adios!
