Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, May 14, 2023

Brian Scott

Happy super long Sunday Adventure Funday! With all these super fun waves, been shooting a bunch, today was the marathon of days though. Don’t want to spoil it for ya, so you’re just gonna have to click that icon on the bottom right to check it all out! Enjoy ~

Brian Scott

Started out super early for the dawn patrol that would end up leading to a super fun filled day of waves, waves and more waves!

Brian Scott

You know when you’re paddling out with your best surf amigo, and you look over and see this. . . you know it’s going to be a rally fun session!

Brian Scott

Joel, being the goofy footer of the two, taking off dead middle of the reefs take off spot, looks to almost be back dooring this nice left. Yeah Joel!!

Brian Scott

What’s better than one set of eyes? Two pairs and two sets of lenses pointed at you from two different angles and perspectives.

Brian Scott

Beto, getting (in this session) the biggest wave of the day. . .

Brian Scott

And slaying it out there on, believe it or not, just a tiny little 5’ 6”. Killing it buddy!!

Brian Scott

The session was fun, but it was our amigos last full day, so we had some plans to make the best of it and utilize every precious moment of the day. Time for some breaky and then decide on where to surf next. . . ??? Hmmm

Brian Scott

It was a toss up between a really fun left hand point break just south of here, or go north and roll the dice. Here’s how the dice landed by deciding to head north.

Brian Scott

Haha - reminds me of that funny line from that girl in Wedding Crashers”, “.... Because I'll find you”!!! LOL, Yes, we’re always watching and we'll find YOU!!! jajaja

Brian Scott

This reef, unlike the session a little earlier works more like a machine, with an all rock bottom (zero sand) Joel getting out there quickly to avoid that midday killer sun and nabbing this great looking left.

Brian Scott

Beto on the other hand was taking to the much shorter (between the two directions) right, but showing his stylish moves with this sick big floater!

Brian Scott

I moved way down the beach as the sun was shifting as I caught Joel dropping into this super epic and really long left.

Brian Scott

Little top check turn and it was pump and carve taking this thing all the way to the inside. . .

Brian Scott

Pretty much where if you don’t kick out, you’ll probably lose a fin or two. hahah Nice wave hermano!!!

Brian Scott

Joel agrees!!! Yewwww!!!!

Brian Scott

Beto saw that we had shifted way down looking into the better lit lefts and how radical is this blow tail top turn!?!?! Yeah BETO!!!

Brian Scott

See all them rocks on the inside, aaaah those are the shin and fin killers! However the rocks aren’t sharp, but they’re slipperier than snot! What a dreaming looking midday surf, eh???

Brian Scott

I told this it was a marathon, ended up coming back to tackle PC’s one last time, but only retuned to find the waves much smaller and kinda funky, but I think it was because it was pretty much almost dead low tide.

Brian Scott

Mr. Joel working on his backhand.

Brian Scott

While traveling surf bud, Beto somehow found this rare tubo of the afternoon. Wahoooo DUDE!!!

Brian Scott

Just caught Joel on the last one coming in, but as you can see the conditions weren’t as good as the first two sessions. However, they’re going to go home feeling super tied, but that really GOOD feeling tired, from all of the fun waves they’ve taken over the past week.

Brian Scott

Always making new friends is one of the best parts of the job. These two new hermanos will definitely be back and we’ll be here waiting patiently for their return. Foi ótimo conhecer vocês, obrigado por tudo. . . Sentiremos sua falta, mas apenas até sua próxima visita!

Until then, Deacachimba ~
